COVID-19 Vaccine Data

When it comes to managing one’s health, the most important health care tasks for consumers are foundational and basic in nature like finding and accessing health care providers and choosing a health plan with the right coverage.

Like Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, consumers rank basic health care needs as more important over other elements of their health like filling prescriptions easily or tracking their exercise.

Seven in ten Americans say they have gotten or plan to get the COVID-19 vaccine, with the bulk of the rest, 20%, being permanent holds outs. Sixty percent (60%) plan to get the booster shot when it’s rolled out, likely this fall.

In terms of a return to normal, Americans are not there yet. Variant concerns are dampening comfort with activities like eating out, shopping, traveling, and even going to the doctor for ER and wellness visits.

Data from August 2021.
