National Scholastic Press Association is a nonprofit educational association that supports student journalism programs.
Having last been updated in the 80's, the branding was in desperate need of a refresh. I created new branding that is recognizable for members of the scholastic journalism community and maintains NSPA's status as the premier authority on student media.
The updated logo transforms the recognizable and unique letter shapes of the previous logo into a modern logotype with increased line weight contrast.
The color palette is bright and fun to appeal to students, while remaining professional.
